About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced CNG Compression Mechanic / Field Service Technician to support the maintenance, troubleshooting, and operation of compressed natural gas (CNG) compression systems. This role is critical to ensuring uptime, reliability, and safety across our compression assets. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience with compressors and rotating equipment, along with strong diagnostic skills in mechanical and control systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform advanced diagnostics, maintenance, and repair on CNG compressors, dryers, storage systems, and associated equipment
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and PLC/control system issues with minimal supervision
- Conduct preventative and predictive maintenance to maximize equipment uptime
- Lead or support equipment installations, commissioning, and system upgrades
- Interpret schematics, P&IDs, and technical manuals
- Respond to service calls and emergency breakdowns as needed
- Ensure compliance with all safety standards and operating procedures for high-pressure gas systems
- Maintain detailed service records, reports, and parts inventory
- Mentor apprentice technicians and provide on-the-job training
What We’re Looking For:
- 3+ years of experience with industrial compressors, natural gas systems, or similar rotating equipment
- Strong mechanical knowledge (engines, compressors, hydraulics, pneumatics)
- Working knowledge of electrical systems and controls (PLC experience preferred)
- Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and schematics
- Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working independently in field environments
- Strong commitment to safety and operational excellence
- Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred or willingness to obtain)

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
