Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid California Special Education Teaching Credential with Mild/Moderate authorization
- Autism Authorization (AAAS) required
- Experience teaching middle and high school students, preferably in alternative or specialized settings
- Strong communication, adaptability, and collaborative skills
- Ability to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to diverse learning needs
- Commitment to maintaining privacy of student and credential information (please ensure resumes and credential screenshots do not include last names)
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction aligned with IEP goals for students with mild to moderate disabilities and those with autism
- Collaborate with support staff, administration, and families to create a supportive learning environment
- Monitor and document student progress, providing ongoing feedback and adapting strategies as needed
- Create positive, inclusive classroom communities that foster respect and growth
- Participate in team meetings, staff development, and professional learning activities as required
