Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Bachelor’s degree is preferred; relevant work experience will be considered.
Excellent computer and communication skills both verbal and written.
Strong analytical skills to assess risks and develop effective action plans.
Excellent communication and training abilities to inspire a safety-first mindset.
Required Length and Type of Experience
Three (3) years experience in safety and/or security, ideally in a healthcare or hospital setting.
Three (3) years leadership experience with the following agencies and systems; Hospital Incident Command System (HICS), National Disaster Medical System (NDMS), National Incident Management System (NIMS-FEMA), and local or state Emergency Management Agency (EMA).
Required Physical and Environmental Demands
Requires standing or walking for extensive periods of time. May require light lifting up to 20 pounds.
