Job Summary
Class A CDL drivers needed for Yard Mule position .
Duties
- Safely operate CDL A yard mule tractors with automatic transmission to move dry van and other freight equipment within the yard.
- Use GPS navigation systems to accurately position trailers and optimize yard flow.
- Assist with tractor-trailer coupling and decoupling, ensuring proper connection for driving routes.
- Conduct routine inspections of yard equipment and trailers for safety compliance, manual handling issues, and mechanical integrity.
- Maintain accurate logs of trailer movements, load status, and safety checks in accordance with logistics cargo handling protocols.
- Collaborate with drivers and warehouse personnel to coordinate trailer placement and ensure efficient route driving within the facility.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record; experience operating tractor-trailers .
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving, delivery driving, or freight logistics cargo handling.
- Ability to operate manual transmission trucks safely and efficiently.
- Strong understanding of FMCSA regulations, DOT rules regulations applicable to commercial trucking.
- Excellent route driving skills with GPS navigation proficiency for yard operations.
- Physical ability to perform all functions required to successfully complete your daily responsibilities.
- Felix able to work First or Second Shift.
- Work 10-12 hours daily including weekends as required.
