JOB SUMMARY
Working with the Plant Manager, Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for facilities
maintenance, equipment maintenance, and assists with the development and implementation
of manufacturing processes.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Read blueprints, diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures
- Install, align, take apart, move and maintain machinery
- Use various lifting devices, hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, gages and
measurement instruments to complete work
- Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect and find irregularities and
malfunctions
- Install, troubleshoot and maintain power transmission, vacuum, hydraulic and
pneumatic systems, and programmable logic controls
- Adjust machinery and repair or replace defective parts
- Operate machine tools, such as lathes and grinders, to fabricate parts required during
overhaul, maintenance or set-up of machinery
- Clean, lubricate and perform other routine scheduled maintenance work on machinery
- Implement a Total Preventative Maintenance (TPM) system, including ISO
documentation and a detailed PM schedule for each machine
- Use of predictive maintenance techniques and implementation of a computerized
maintenance management system to trigger maintenance planning, execution and
reporting
- Recognizing and correcting safety concerns
- Create a spare parts list by machine; and order, inventory and control all spare parts
- Identify and implement projects to improve machine and operator performance
- Provide basic operations and maintenance training to production operators
- Respond immediately to requests from operators and production supervisors
Follow all safety policies
- Adhere to ISO 9001 and 14001 Policies and Procedures
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION
- 2-year vocational training or associate degree in related field of study
- Previous training on applicable machinery
- Previous training in reading and understanding blueprints/manuals for
Machinery
EXPERIENCE
- Previous experience designing and improving preventive maintenance plans
- Previous experience in the preventive maintenance of applicable machinery
- Previous experience troubleshooting machine malfunctions/issues
- Previous experience repairing all applicable machinery
LANGUAGES
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal

- The duties of this job include physical activities such as stooping, kneeling, standing,

depth perception, and the ability to focus.
Work Environment
- Office working conditions are normal for an office environment. Work may require
local and international travel, overnight travel and weekend and/or evening work.
- The Technical Services role has daily stress due to customer deadlines and responsibility
in accuracy. The incumbent is faced with constant interruptions and repeatedly meets
with others.
- Plant working conditions include noise in excess of 90 dlb, Temperature ranging from
5– 34 Celsius, and some dust. Personal Protection Equipment is provided.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
