Now Hiring: Warehouse Team Members
Warehouse Team Members are responsible for all inventory movement in the distributorship’s warehouse including loading and unloading trucks, processing used batteries, processing cores, loading and unloading route trucks, stocking and rotating batteries, and charging batteries.
Schedule: Monday through Friday
Work Location: 1298 S Brownell Rd, Williston VT, 05495
Job Requirements:
- Must be able to perform all warehouse jobs including receiving, stocking, picking, replenishments, packing, palletizing, and shipping
- Supports continuous process improvement
- Supports warehouse layout to maximize space utilization, productivity, and safety
- Supports standard operating procedures and performance standards
- Supports inventory quality and accuracy assurance programs
- Supports physical inventory process and cycle counts
- Supports stock location and order picking strategies to optimize workflow, space utilization, and labor productivity
- Responsible for the physical custody and overall safeguarding of the inventory
- Ensures that operations are conducted safely and within the law
- Controls expenses
- Process in-bound receiving of containers or full truck, truck pallet shipments, and small parcel shipments.
- Utilizes operational reports
- Operates forklift in safe and efficient use of same
Qualifications
- Previous warehouse experience including inventory control procedures
- Strong leadership and teamwork skills
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills
- Strong organization and time management skills and able to work under pressure
- Working knowledge of carrier operations, shipment routing and distribution methods
- Understanding of state, federal and interstate commerce regulations
- Basic computer skills
- Understand hazardous shipping laws and requirements
- Ability to operate motor vehicles including forklifts
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
Work Environment:
- Regularly required to use hands to grasp and to handle, talk and hear, stand, and walk.
- Specific vision abilities include close vision, depth perception and ability to focus.
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move 70+ lbs.
- Exposed to battery warehouse conditions such as exposure to moving equipment mechanical parts, fumes, or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals.
