Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic General Cleaner to maintain a pristine, safe, and welcoming environment across various facilities. Duties
- Perform comprehensive cleaning duties including dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and surface sanitation to ensure all areas are spotless and hygienic.
- Implement cleaning and sanitation procedures effectively across different surfaces such as floors, carpets, countertops, and appliances.
- Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, carpet cleaners, and pressure washers safely and efficiently.
- Handle laundry tasks including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens or uniforms as needed.
- Maintain proper use of cleaning detergents and supplies while adhering to safety guidelines for manual handling and chemical use.
- Conduct outdoor work including trash removal, sweeping walkways, and maintaining outdoor spaces to uphold overall site cleanliness.
- Communicate professionally with clients or residents regarding cleaning schedules or special requests while providing excellent customer service.
- Manage time effectively to complete all assigned tasks within scheduled periods without compromising quality.
- Assist with housekeeping management duties when required, ensuring all areas meet cleanliness standards consistently.
Experience
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial, residential, hotel, or healthcare settings is highly desirable.
- Proven ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks efficiently.
- Experience with floor care techniques such as stripping, waxing, polishing, and carpet cleaning is preferred.
- Familiarity with cleaning surfaces using various tools and detergents while following safety protocols.
- Knowledge of sanitation standards and procedures for maintaining hygiene in different environments.
- Strong client communication skills developed through residential housekeeping or customer service roles.
- Outdoor work experience that demonstrates reliability in maintaining exterior spaces under various weather conditions.
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities with excellent time management skills in fast-paced settings.
