Position Summary:
The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of guest rooms and public areas to Hampton Inn & Suites brand standards. This position plays a vital role in creating a welcoming and comfortable experience for our guests by ensuring rooms are clean, sanitized, and fully stocked.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Clean and service assigned guest rooms according to Hampton brand standards.
- Make beds, change linens, and replace towels and amenities.
- Clean bathrooms, mirrors, fixtures, floors, and guest room surfaces.
- Vacuum carpets, mop floors, and dust furniture.
- Report maintenance issues, safety concerns, and lost-and-found items promptly.
- Replenish guest supplies and housekeeping carts.
- Clean hallways, elevators, stairwells, and other public areas as assigned.
- Follow proper chemical handling and safety procedures.
- Ensure all rooms are ready for guest arrival within established timeframes.
- Respond professionally and courteously to guest requests.
- Assist with deep cleaning projects and special assignments as needed.
- Work as part of a team to achieve departmental goals and guest satisfaction targets.
Qualifications:
- Previous housekeeping or hotel experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 30 pounds.
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and walk for extended periods.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and maintain a positive attitude.
- Weekend and holiday availability required.
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, and lifting.
- Ability to push and pull housekeeping carts.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards.
