We Are looking to add a part time person
Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday each week.
W/ T 9:30 to 5:15
Sat 9:30 to 3:15pm
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide knowledgeable assistance about store products and promotions
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently for retail sales transactions, including cash handling and cash drawer management
- Upsell items and promote product demos to enhance customer experience and increase sales opportunities
- Stock shelves, organize merchandise, and ensure the store remains clean, tidy, and visually appealing
- Assist with merchandising efforts to highlight featured items and optimize product placement
- Provide excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely
- Support supervising staff with daily operations and ensure adherence to store policies
Experience
- Previous retail sales experience preferred, especially in thrift stores or grocery environments
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash register operations, and retail math calculations
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively in bilingual settings if applicable
- Experience supervising or leading team members is a plus but not required
- Knowledge of retail store product knowledge, merchandising techniques, and customer service best practices
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and managing the cash drawer confidently
- Experience with grocery store operations or similar environments is advantageous but not mandatory
