Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Press Brake Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating press brake machines to bend and form sheet metal components with precision and efficiency. Your expertise will ensure that fabricated parts meet strict quality standards and technical specifications. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, proficiency in machine operation, and the ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints. Duties
- Set up and operate press brake machines, ensuring proper tooling and safety protocols are followed.
- Interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine bending angles and dimensions.
- Measure finished parts using precision measurement instruments to verify conformance with quality standards.
- Adjust machine parameters and tooling based on material type and project requirements for optimal results.
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting on press brake equipment to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate workflow and meet production deadlines.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety standards in production environments.
Requirements
- Proven experience operating press brake machines in a manufacturing or metal fabrication setting.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately.
- Proficiency in using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges for quality control.
- Familiarity with CNC programming, CNC laser cutting, plasma cutting, and other machining processes is a plus.
- Knowledge of safety standards in production environments and adherence to safety protocols.
- Ability to perform shop math accurately for measurement conversions and calculations.
- Basic understanding of welding, forming machines, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, stamping presses, and electrical discharge machining is advantageous.
- Mechanical aptitude combined with excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate within a team-oriented environment.
