Job Responsibilities/Essential Duties:
- Maintain and improve equipment throughout various departments.
- Conduct regular inspections of machinery, equipment, and facilities to identify potential issues.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment problems accurately and efficiently.
- Repair or replace defective parts to ensure equipment operates smoothly.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs. Will be required to use an Android table to enter information.
- Monitor equipment performance and make recommendations for improvements.
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain a safe work environment.
- Collaborate with other maintenance staff, operators, and management to prioritize tasks.
Qualifications/Experience/Skills & Abilities:
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing environment (steel industry preferred).
- Electrical experience (480v), Welding experience (mig), experience with pumps, and hydraulic knowledge are essential.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work independently and/or as part of a team.
- Comfort level with computer technology in a manufacturing environment.
- Must have own tools, but $400 tool allowance provided.
Shift: Full-time, afternoon shift (3pm-1am or 4pm-2am) with weekends/overtime expected
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $26.00 per hour
