Job Summary
Join our dynamic culinary team as a Production Cook working shifts including anywhere from Monday through Sunday ranging from start times of 5:00 am - 3:00 pm. Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of menu items according to standardized recipes and dietary guidelines
- Assist in menu planning to ensure balanced, nutritious, and appealing meal options
- Maintain proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures in compliance with food safety regulations
- Support food preparation activities including chopping, portioning, plating, and garnishing dishes
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives, ovens, mixers, and other culinary tools
- Collaborate with dietary staff to accommodate special dietary needs and preferences
- Ensure all meals are prepared on time and presented attractively for service during overnight hours
Experience
- Previous dietary department or dietary aide experience preferred
- Experience in food preparation, cooking, or fine dining environments highly desirable
- Knowledge of menu planning and meal assembly techniques
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in food handling practices
- Background in restaurant or catering settings is a plus
- Familiarity with food safety standards and proper sanitation procedures
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment with attention to detail
