Quality Engineer
Our successful manufacturing client is seeking a skilled Quality Engineer for their team. This full-time, direct-hire role will support and improve product quality, manufacturing processes, and QMS effectiveness at the company’s Laconia, NH facility.
Responsibilities of the Quality Engineer
- Support compliance with AS9100, customer-specific requirements, and applicable regulatory requirements
- Participate in internal audits, customer audits, and certification audits
- Prepare customer responses including 8D reports, corrective action reports, and quality documentation
- Provide technical support to production personnel regarding quality requirements and acceptance criteria
- Verify traceability of materials, special processes, certifications, and inspection records included in FAIR packages
- Review manufacturing and inspection documentation to ensure all design characteristics are properly accounted for and verified
- Manage submission of FAIR documentation to customers and respond to customer questions or requests for clarification
- Assist with supplier qualification, monitoring, and performance evaluations
Qualifications of the Quality Engineer
- 3+ years of experience in manufacturing quality, quality engineering, or related field preferred
- Experience in aerospace, automotive, or regulated manufacturing environments
- Experience with AS9100 Quality Management Systems
- Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) certification and/or ASQ certification(s) preferred
- Experience conducting internal audits preferred
