Duties
- Provide professional massage therapy sessions utilizing techniques such as Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and occupational health massage.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to understand individual needs and develop customized treatment plans.
- Educate clients on self-care practices and recommend appropriate therapies for ongoing health benefits.
- Maintain accurate documentation of each session, including client progress and treatment details.
- Ensure a safe and comfortable environment by adhering to health and safety standards, including CPR certification requirements.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their concerns, explain procedures, and build trusting relationships.
- Stay current with industry best practices, new techniques, and medical terminology relevant to massage therapy.
Requirements
- Valid state licensure as a Massage Therapist with current certification.
- Proven experience in massage therapy, including Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and occupational health massage.
- Strong knowledge of human physiology and anatomy to accurately assess patient needs and tailor treatments accordingly.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically with clients.
- Familiarity with medical terminology related to pain management and physiologic processes.
- Certification in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) is required for safety compliance.
- Prior experience working in med spas or similar healthcare environments is preferred.
- Ability to work flexible hours in a fast-paced setting while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail.
