Job Title: Cook/Dishwasher
As a Cook/Dishwasher, you will play a vital role in our kitchen, ensuring that delicious meals are prepared and served with excellence. You will be responsible for food preparation, cooking, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment. Your contributions will directly impact the satisfaction of our guests and the overall success of our food service operations.
What you’ll do
- Prepare and cook a variety of menu items according to established recipes and dietary guidelines.
- Assist in menu planning to ensure a diverse and appealing selection of meals.
- Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene throughout all food handling processes.
- Efficiently wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment to support a smooth workflow.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
- Participate in catering events, ensuring that all food is presented beautifully and served promptly.
- Uphold cleanliness in the kitchen by regularly cleaning workstations, floors, and equipment.
Basic qualifications
- Experience in a dietary department or as a dietary aide is preferred.
- Familiarity with food preparation techniques and cooking methods.
- Strong knife skills for efficient meal preparation.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations.
Preferred qualifications
- Previous restaurant or culinary experience is highly desirable.
- Background in catering or large-scale meal service is an advantage.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
