American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a skilled nursing facility assignment in South Carolina, with home health experience preferred and an active or pending SC PTA license required.

Post-acute care setting within a skilled nursing facility (SNF)

Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM (5x8-hour shifts)

13-week contract

Epic EMR experience is preferred but not required

Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible

Active SC PTA license required; pending license will be considered if obtained prior to start

Current BLS certification required

Home health experience strongly preferred; all PTA experience will be considered

Minimum 2 years of PTA experience preferred; 1 year may be considered on a case-by-case basis

2 professional supervisory references from within the past 2 years required for consideration

License required if applicable

Home health experience is the primary preference for this role, though candidates with varied PTA backgrounds are encouraged to apply

All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of initial consideration; RTO requests made after submission will not be honored

The facility maintains an attendance policy for travelers — missing more than two shifts in a 13-week contract without reasonable explanation may result in contract review or cancellation

First-time travelers will be considered on a case-by-case basis given the 1-year minimum experience consideration
