Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes, presentation standards, and safety guidelines
- Assist in menu planning by suggesting new dishes and improvements based on customer feedback and seasonal ingredients
- Maintain high standards of food safety and sanitation throughout all food handling and preparation processes
- Ensure all food is prepared efficiently to meet service times without compromising quality
- Support kitchen operations by organizing ingredients, managing inventory, and ensuring proper storage practices
- Collaborate with team members to deliver exceptional food service and uphold the restaurant’s reputation for fine dining excellence
- Participate in catering events or special functions as needed, ensuring all meals meet presentation and taste expectations
Skills
- Proven experience in dietary department or dietary aide roles is highly desirable
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and food handling safety standards
- Excellent knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation for various cuisines
- Experience with menu planning, catering, and fine dining environments enhances your candidacy
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices to ensure a safe kitchen environment
