Myers Park Presbyterian Church is currently looking for a Nursery Worker to provide child care during our Sunday morning worship services.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Provide dependable, safe, secure and nurturing care to children, typically newborns through age four.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or equivalent; one (1) year of experience in caring for children between the ages of 0 to 4 years.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for providing age-appropriate care which includes feeding, changing diapers, escorting to the bathroom, putting children down for naps, holding, or sitting with and cheerfully interacting with children through games, stories, play and prayer
- Responsible for check-in and check-out of children in accordance with nursery guidelines
- Complete registration records and communicate special needs to volunteers and other nursery staff
- Follow nursery protocol in the event of an emergency
- Maintain a safe and clean nursery environment by following nursery sanitation guidelines
Shifts:
Shifts are 8:30 am - 11:30 am on Sunday mornings during church services. We also have voluntary shifts occasionally available during the week.
