Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will work directly with children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism, to implement individualized behavior intervention plans. As an RBT, you will play a key role in delivering evidence-based behavioral therapy grounded in applied behavior analysis (ABA), assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs), and supporting positive behavior management strategies. Duties
- Implement personalized behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to promote skill development and reduce challenging behaviors
- Collect, record, and analyze data on client progress to inform ongoing treatment strategies
- Assist clients with activities of daily living such as grooming, feeding, toileting, and dressing to foster independence
- Use behavioral therapy techniques to teach communication, social skills, and functional life skills in various settings
- Maintain accurate medical documentation, including care plans, progress notes, and incident reports, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Support clients during therapy sessions by providing patient care with empathy and patience
- Collaborate with team members, families, and caregivers to ensure consistency across interventions and environments
Experience
- Prior experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities is highly preferred
- Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles and behavioral health practices is advantageous
- Experience assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) and implementing behavior management techniques is beneficial
- Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records management, and HIPAA compliance is a plus
- Strong data collection skills to track client progress accurately
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality
