Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Facilities Cleaner to maintain the cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of our commercial and industrial spaces. Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment and supplies.
- Handle chemical agents safely, following all chemical handling safety procedures to prevent accidents or contamination.
- Operate floor buffers, scrubbers, and other floor care equipment to maintain high standards of cleanliness and shine.
- Conduct heavy lifting tasks in accordance with safe lifting practices when moving furniture, supplies, or equipment.
- Maintain sanitation standards by disinfecting surfaces, waste disposal, and ensuring proper storage of cleaning supplies.
- Follow safety protocols at all times during cleaning activities to ensure personal safety and that of colleagues.
- Assist with general facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or reporting larger issues for prompt resolution.
Skills
- Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles with knowledge of commercial cleaning procedures.
- Familiarity with cleaning equipment including floor buffers, vacuums, mops, and related tools.
- Ability to handle chemical agents safely while adhering to chemical handling safety procedures.
- Strong manual handling skills with an understanding of safe lifting practices for heavy objects.
- Excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with staff and visitors when needed.
- Experience in industrial cleaning or porter roles is advantageous for managing diverse environments.
- Knowledge of sanitation standards and facility maintenance best practices ensures consistent quality in cleaning routines.
