About the Role
As an Automation Welding Specialist, you will serve as a critical technical lead responsible for optimizing robotic welding and CNC machine tending systems. By programming, calibrating, and maintaining advanced automation hardware, you will directly impact production efficiency, ensure high-quality weld standards, and minimize system downtime across the manufacturing floor.
Responsibilities-
Program and calibrate robotic welding arms and CNC machine tending systems to meet precise production specifications.

Conduct preventive and predictive maintenance to ensure the longevity and reliability of automated welding cells.

Analyze weld quality through cut and etch testing, adjusting system parameters to maintain strict dimensional accuracy.

Troubleshoot complex robotic malfunctions and controller issues to restore operational flow rapidly.

Collaborate with manufacturing teams to execute tool changes, setups, and process improvements.

Document process variations and quality metrics using precision tools like calipers and gauges.

Enforce rigorous safety standards and environmental protocols to maintain a secure, organized workspace.
Qualifications-
Technical diploma or Associate degree in Robotics, Automation, or Welding Technology.

Proven experience programming robotic systems such as FANUC, OTC Daihen, Nachi, or Yaskawa.

Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience in GMAW (MIG), GTAW (TIG), and spot welding.

Proficiency in reading technical blueprints, schematics, and quality check sheets.

Ability to perform physical tasks including standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 pounds.

Solid understanding of safety regulations and industrial compliance standards.

AWS Certified Robotic Arc Welder (CRAW) certification.

Experience with advanced weld controllers (e.g., Fronius, Lincoln).

Strong working knowledge of PLC logic, sensors, and automation programming.

Demonstrated ability to lead, instruct, and mentor shop floor personnel.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for reporting and documentation.
