Accountable to: Senior Pastor & Elders
Purpose
To serve St. Paul’s Lutheran Church by providing comprehensive administrative, clerical, records management, and communications support for worship services, pastoral ministry, congregational life, and church operations. The administrative assistance acts as a liaison with people who reach out to the church. As a member of the staff, the Administrative Assistant is expected to agree with and follow our congregational mission. The Administrative assistant participates in professional and spiritual growth opportunities as appropriate.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
1. Prepare weekly, seasonal, and special worship bulletins and service materials.
2. Provide administrative support for baptisms, confirmations, weddings, funerals, and special services.
3. Produce and distribute congregational communications including newsletters, mailings, and electronic correspondence.
4. Maintain church calendars for rooms, events, volunteers, and facilities across multiple platforms.
5. Order and manage office and worship supplies.
6. Coordinate volunteer schedules and provide administrative support to boards, committees, and ministries.
7. Prepare and provide New Member packets as requested by the Pastor
8. Perform other administrative and clerical duties as assigned to support the mission and ministry of the congregation.
9. Cover vacation time for Admin Assistant for office.
Skills Needed
1. Minimum high school diploma or GED
2. Proficient with Microsoft Office
3. Proven time management and organizational skills
4. Willingness to learn new skills, tools and technologies
5. Proven attention to detail and strong follow[through skills
6. Strong written and verbal communication and editing skills

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
