Responsibilities
- Assist with tree trimming, pruning, and removal using proper techniques to promote tree health and safety.
- Operate bucket trucks and bucket lifts safely to access high branches or difficult-to-reach areas.
- Support rigging operations for the safe lowering of large limbs or trees during removal or pruning.
- Conduct ground-based tasks including lawn care, landscape maintenance, and general site cleanup.
- Use GIS tools to assist with mapping and documenting tree locations and landscape features.
- Maintain equipment such as hand tools, power tools, and safety gear to ensure optimal performance.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents during tree work and equipment operation.
Requirements
- Growing experience or background in horticulture, arboriculture, or landscaping is preferred.
- Knowledge of tree care practices including trimming, pruning, and general tree health assessment.
- Ability to operate bucket trucks and bucket lifts safely; certification in bucket operation is a plus.
- Familiarity with rigging techniques for lifting or lowering heavy limbs or trees.
- Basic understanding of GIS applications related to landscape or tree mapping is advantageous.
- Strong work ethic with a focus on safety, teamwork, and attention to detail.
- Physical ability to perform outdoor tasks in various weather conditions; willingness to learn new skills related to landscaping and land management.
