We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Part-Time Embroidery Production Specialist to assist with the production of custom embroidered apparel and other decorated products.
The primary responsibility of this position will be operating commercial embroidery equipment and completing embroidery orders accurately and efficiently. Previous embroidery experience is preferred; however, we are willing to train the right candidate who demonstrates strong attention to detail, reliability, and a willingness to learn.
Experience with heat presses, apparel decoration, graphic art, or other related production skills is a plus and may provide opportunities to assist in other areas of the company.
Responsibilities
- Operate commercial embroidery machines to complete customer orders
- Properly hoop and position garments for embroidery
- Load embroidery files and select appropriate thread colors
- Monitor machines during production and identify potential problems
- Trim, finish, fold, and prepare completed garments
- Inspect finished embroidery for quality, placement, and accuracy
- Sort and organize incoming blank garments for production
- Prepare completed orders for packing and shipping
- Maintain an organized and clean work area
- Assist with routine embroidery machine care and maintenance
- Follow job specifications and production schedules
- Assist with heat press application and other apparel decoration processes as needed
- Perform other production-related duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Previous commercial or industrial embroidery experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to follow instructions and job specifications accurately
- Ability to work independently while also functioning as part of a team
- Good organizational and time-management skills
- Dependable and able to maintain a consistent work schedule
- Ability to read and write English
Additional Experience That Is a Plus
Experience in any of the following areas would be beneficial but is not required:
- Commercial embroidery equipment
- Heat press operation and apparel application
- Screen printing or DTF apparel decoration
- Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or graphic art
- Embroidery files or embroidery digitizing
- Other apparel production or finishing processes
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to perform repetitive hand and arm movements
- Ability to lift and move boxes and garments weighing up to 30 lbs.
- Ability to safely work around production equipment
