US1 Heating & Air is looking for an experienced Residential HVAC Service Technician to join our growing service team on a part-time basis.
We need more than someone who can diagnose equipment. The right technician can work efficiently, communicate confidently with homeowners, and turn service calls into completed repairs, upgrades, and replacement opportunities when appropriate.
We are not looking for high-pressure sales tactics or technicians who recommend unnecessary work. We want someone who earns trust, explains problems clearly, provides legitimate options, and confidently asks for the work.

Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair residential HVAC systems, including split systems, furnaces, heat pumps, packaged units, and ductless systems
- Perform preventive maintenance and system tune-ups
- Complete service calls thoroughly and efficiently
- Explain findings, repair options, and recommendations clearly to homeowners
- Build and present repair, upgrade, and replacement quotes from the field
- Present pricing confidently, address reasonable customer concerns, and close approved work
- Identify systems that are appropriate candidates for replacement and discuss available options with the customer
- Use a tablet-based field service platform to document calls, upload photos, prepare estimates, collect signatures, and process payments
- Collect payment and properly close out service calls
- Assist with light installation work when needed
- Maintain a clean, professional appearance and job site
- Treat every customer honestly and professionally
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of residential HVAC service experience
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting ability
- Able to work efficiently without sacrificing workmanship
- Comfortable presenting options, discussing pricing, and asking customers to move forward
- Proven ability to generate revenue while maintaining honest, customer-first recommendations
- HVAC sales or service-system sales training is strongly preferred
- Strong communication skills and professional customer presence
- Comfortable using tablets, mobile apps, and field service software
- Able to create professional quotes and close work directly from the field
- Able to work independently and take ownership of service calls
- EPA certification required
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Must have basic HVAC service tools and reliable transportation
- Experience with heat pumps, inverter systems, and ductless equipment is preferred
