Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Program Manager to oversee Crisis Mental Health Support Team (MHST), Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP), and crisis response services in the Houston, Texas area. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of Texas behavioral health regulations, Texas Medicaid, and Texas Medicaid & Healthcare Partnership (TMHP) policies, procedures, billing requirements, and compliance standards. This individual will be responsible for the daily management and oversight of crisis programs, ensuring high-quality service delivery, regulatory compliance, staff supervision, and program growth. Responsibilities include supervising QMHPs and crisis staff, monitoring documentation and Medicaid compliance, managing authorizations and service utilization, conducting quality assurance reviews, preparing for audits, and ensuring adherence to HHSC, TMHP, and managed care organization requirements. The Program Manager will also develop and implement policies and procedures, monitor program outcomes, build relationships with community partners and referral sources, and support organizational development initiatives. Candidates should possess strong leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, along with a minimum of three to five years of behavioral health management experience. Experience with crisis intervention services, Medicaid-funded programs, electronic health records, and staff supervision is required. Preference will be given to candidates who hold a Texas behavioral health license or QMHP certification and have demonstrated expertise in TMHP operations, Texas Medicaid compliance, and community-based mental health services. The successful candidate will be a results-driven leader capable of managing multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional standards of care, compliance, and operational excellence.
Pay: $49,105.33 - $65,000.00 per year
