HR Generalist – Piscataquis County, ME (Onsite)
I’m working with a well-established, manufacturing organization that is looking to add an HR Generalist to their team. This is a hands-on role supporting a manufacturing site.
This person will serve as the primary HR contact onsite, partnering closely with managers and employees on day-to-day HR needs including employee relations, onboarding, compliance, and general HR operations. The team is looking for someone who is confident working in a manufacturing setting, comfortable with employee relations issues, and able to build strong relationships across both hourly and salaried populations.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Act as the onsite HR resource for employees and leadership
- Handle employee relations matters including investigations, documentation, and resolution support
- Coach supervisors on performance management, communication, and conflict resolution
- Support recruiting, onboarding, and new hire orientation
- Ensure compliance with employment laws, policies, and safety standards
- Assist with benefits administration, leave management (FMLA/ADA), and HRIS updates (ADP Workforce Now)
- Support training initiatives and general HR projects across the site
- Maintain accurate employee records and assist with reporting and audits
What We’re Looking For
- 2+ years of HR experience, ideally in manufacturing or a multi-site operational environment
- Strong employee relations background (investigations, coaching, conflict resolution)
- Comfortable in a hands-on, production-based environment with hourly employees
- Professional, steady, and able to navigate a workforce with established dynamics
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels
- Experience with ADP Workforce Now or similar HRIS is a plus
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in HR, Business, or related field preferred
Details
- Location: Piscataquis County, ME (onsite, Monday–Friday schedule with some flexibility)
- Compensation: $65,000–$80,000
- Background check and drug screen required
