My client is a civil engineering firm is seeking a Bridge Engineer Project Manager for its Indianapolis office. Bridge Engineer Project Manager Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage bridge projects from preliminary design through final plan delivery and client coordination.
- Perform structural analysis and design using hand calculations and software tools.
- Supervise and mentor a team of engineers and drafters on transportation structure design.
- Oversee the preparation of construction documents, including plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Conduct site visits for inspections, design verification, and construction support.
- Collaborate with in-house teams across disciplines such as roadway, drainage, survey, and planning.
- May assist with bridge inspections, bridge condition reports, and load ratings.
Bridge Engineer Project Manager Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE)
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Indiana or eligibility for reciprocity in other states (e.g., Ohio, Kentucky)
- 5–10 years of experience in bridge design, including DOT project delivery
- Familiarity with AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Manual
- Proficient in technical writing and client communication
- Valid driver’s license
Bridge Engineer Project Manager Preferred Qualifications:
- Completion of FHWA Bridge Inspection Training (2-week or 1-week course for PEs)
- Experience with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD
- Bridge inspection background with knowledge of the Bridge Inspection Reference Manual
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $95,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
