Position Overview
Spanish Academy LMBD is seeking a passionate, energetic, and creative Spanish Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate enjoys working with children and is able to create engaging, interactive, and immersive Spanish lessons through music, movement, games, storytelling, and hands-on activities.
The Spanish Teacher will provide high-quality Spanish instruction to children in preschool and elementary settings while creating a positive, fun, and encouraging learning environment
Responsibilities
- Teach Spanish classes to children ages preschool through elementary.
- Deliver engaging Spanish immersion lessons using the LMBD curriculum and teaching methods.
- Incorporate songs, music, movement, games, stories, crafts, and interactive activities.
- Encourage students to develop listening, speaking, vocabulary, and conversational skills.
- Adapt lessons to meet different learning levels and student needs.
- Maintain a positive classroom environment and encourage student participation.
- Follow provided lesson plans while adding creativity and personal teaching style.
- Prepare classroom materials and ensure activities are organized before each class.
- Communicate professionally with school staff, parents, and the LMBD team.
- Provide feedback regarding student progress and classroom experiences.
- Arrive on time, prepared, and professionally dressed.
Qualifications
- Fluent or native Spanish speaker (required).
- Experience working with children (preschool and elementary preferred).
- Passion for language education and early childhood learning.
- Strong classroom management skills.
- Reliable, responsible, and enthusiastic personality.
- Comfortable teaching through songs, movement, and interactive activities.
- Ability to work independently and follow curriculum guidelines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree or coursework in Education, Languages, Early Childhood Education, or related fields.
- Teaching certification or classroom experience.
- Experience with Spanish immersion or bilingual education.
