We're looking for an energetic, dependable, animal-loving General Manager to lead the daily operations at Dirty Hairy's Dog Boarding & Grooming. This is more than just a management position—it's an opportunity to make a home on our property while caring for dogs and leading a great team.
As part of your compensation package, you'll receive free onsite housing in a spacious 2,400-square-foot home overlooking a beautiful 3-acre lake.

What You'll Do
- Oversee the daily operation of our boarding, daycare, and grooming facility
- Hire, train, schedule, coach, and lead staff
- Conduct performance reviews and handle employee accountability when needed
- Provide outstanding customer service and build lasting client relationships
- Ensure every dog receives exceptional care and attention
- Monitor the health, safety, and well-being of all animals
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming facility
- Handle customer reservations, check-ins, and check-outs
- Manage inventory and order supplies
- Address customer concerns professionally and promptly
- Ensure company policies and safety procedures are followed
- Help create a positive, fun, team-oriented workplace
Property Responsibilities
As the onsite manager, you'll also help care for the property by:
- Mowing and maintaining the grounds using a company-provided zero-turn mower
- Keeping the property neat and presentable
- Filling and maintaining the wood stove during the winter months
- Serving as a visible, responsible presence on the property
What We're Looking For
- Previous management or leadership experience
- Experience working with dogs or in animal care is preferred
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions
- Comfortable performing physical work, including lifting up to 50 pounds
- Reliable, trustworthy, and self-motivated
- Willingness to live onsite

Pay
Salary: Starts at $40,000 per year
