Lead preconstruction efforts for large-scale commercial projects valued at $50M+

Manage and oversee estimating teams (typically 2–3 team members per pursuit)

Prepare and deliver comprehensive conceptual and detailed budget

Perform constructability and design-assist reviews throughout all design phases

Collaborate closely with Operations on procurement strategies, subcontractor selection, and buyout planning
-
Develop preliminary scopes of work and support subcontractor negotiations
-
Establish preliminary schedules during preconstruction
-
Serve as the primary point of contact with Owners, Architects, and Engineers during the preconstruction phase

Lead client-facing budget presentations and strategy discussions

Manage subcontractor outreach, solicitation, and bid leveling
-
Support fee strategy development and pursuit planning

Mentor and train junior preconstruction staff on estimating standards, COB creation, and subcontractor evaluation

Ensure all budget packages are delivered accurately and on schedule
Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline
-
5–8+ years of experience in commercial construction
-
3–5+ years of preconstruction or estimating leadership experience
-
Proven experience managing large commercial projects ($50M+)
-
Strong understanding of preconstruction processes, cost modeling, and procurement strategies
-
Excellent communication and client-facing presentation skills
