Need serious, reliable and dependable Residential Technicians, Certified Peer Support Specialist, PPs, APs, QPs for community based services located in Mecklenburg county and surrounding counties and residential services located in Catawba County. Paid training is available.
High school diploma or GED required. When applying, must include an updated resume.
Prior work experience in healthcare or group home setting preferred.
Must already be Peer Support certified if applying for CPSS position.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Supporting the health, safety and growth of our consumers.
Providing guidance and support to strengthen academic, social, and familial relationships.
Maintaining therapeutic relationships by employing coping skills to deal with challenges and triggers.
Serving in an ethical and professional manner. Follow protocol.
Must present HS diploma, GED or college transcripts and obtain needed trainings to work with consumers (Training offered in Kannapolis, NC or Newton, NC)
Reporting to work as scheduled.
Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
Monitor and write documentation about resident's behavior and activity within 24 hours of your shift.
Assist in preparing scheduled and planned meals and snacks for residents.
De-escalate crisis situations by using therapeutic interventions and strategies.
Administer medications and supplements properly to residents.
Ensure that all residents attend individual, family and group therapy appointments.
Drive residents to school or extracurricular activities when necessary.
Observe any alterations or idiosyncrasies in resident behavior and report them to appropriate members of the treatment team.
Identify signs of a resident’s potential harm to self or others and address them accordingly.
Facilitate self-governance and group meetings.
HOURS PER WEEK: Varies
PAY RATE: Range of $13-$20, depending upon education, experience and position applying for.
