As a Float Care Partner at The Geneva Suites, you are a flexible and reliable caregiver role who supports all seven of our residential homes as needed for coverage in Bloomington, Eagan, Eden Prairie, Burnsville, and Edina. You uphold are C.A.R.E.S. and play a crucial role in maintaining continuity of care by filling in when regular Care Partners are unavailable and supporting the Operations Manager with scheduling and other delegated tasks. Ability to travel to any of The Geneva Suites’ seven resident home locations to provide care coverage as scheduled or in response to urgent staffing needs
Answer incoming phone calls, adjust schedule as needed, and documentation
Provide compassionate, high-quality care in alignment with residents’ individual care plans
Support ADLs (Activities of Daily Living) including bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, ambulation, and feeding
Monitor residents for changes in condition and promptly report to Nurse or Operations Manager
Build strong relationships with residents, families, and team members by fostering trust and open communication
Handle conflicts professionally, escalating unresolved issues appropriately
Adjust to changing resident needs and home routines with patience and flexibility
Maintain a positive attitude, even in challenging situations
Ensure residents’ rooms, clothing, and personal spaces are clean and well-maintained
Perform assigned tasks efficiently and within expected timeframes
Follow through on responsibilities without repeated reminders
Adhere to policies and procedures, including emergency and infection control protocols
Collaborate with the Operations Manager to assist with staff scheduling, identify open shifts, and help coordinate care coverage
Communicate clearly with each home’s team about hand-offs, documentation, and resident updates
