Toddler Teacher – Academy For The ONE
We are seeking a compassionate and nurturing Toddler Teacher to join Academy For The ONE. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education, a love for working with young children, and a commitment to modeling Christian values in daily interactions. This role involves creating a safe, loving, and engaging classroom environment where toddlers can grow socially, emotionally, spiritually, and academically.
Responsibilities
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities and lesson plans that support toddlers' cognitive, social, emotional, physical, and spiritual development.
- Integrate Christian values and faith-based principles into daily lessons, interactions, and classroom activities.
- Provide individualized attention and encouragement to support each child’s unique developmental needs and learning style.
- Foster a nurturing, loving, and safe environment where children feel secure and valued.
- Manage classroom behavior using positive guidance and age-appropriate redirection techniques.
- Supervise children at all times to ensure their safety and well-being during classroom activities, meals, playtime, and outdoor activities.
- Communicate regularly and professionally with parents regarding children's progress, behavior, and daily experiences.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and staff to create a positive educational experience for students and families.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment.
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities to remain current with early childhood education best practices
Candidate must be:
- At least 18 years of age.
- A high school graduate or equivalent.
- Cleared of any criminal record.
- DCF certified by completing the required 45 hours of DCF training or be willing to complete it within the first year.
- CPR, First Aid, and Blood Borne Pathogen certified or obtain upon hire.
- Mentally and physically capable of caring for a group of children, including lifting a child if needed.
- Punctual, dependable, consistent, and a commitment to adhere to our standards of excellence.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
