We are seeking an energetic and personable Host to create a warm, welcoming atmosphere for our guests. As the first point of contact, you will be responsible for managing reservations, greeting guests with enthusiasm, and ensuring a smooth flow of seating and guest services. Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing friendly and professional customer service.
- Manage restaurant reservations efficiently using restaurant table management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
- Coordinate seating arrangements to optimize table utilization and minimize wait times.
- Answer phone inquiries with clear, courteous communication, providing information about wait times or reservation details.
- Maintain organized waiting lists and communicate effectively with guests regarding their seating status.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the host station and waiting area in compliance with food safety standards.
- Support guest relations by addressing questions or concerns promptly and courteously, ensuring a positive first impression.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a host or hostess in a restaurant setting is preferred; food service experience is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage reservations and seating efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and customer service proficiency.
- Familiarity with restaurant reservation management software such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable.
- Basic math skills for handling reservations, wait times, and table counts accurately.
- Knowledge of POS systems and restaurant table management systems is beneficial.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and hospitality standards.
- Experience in hotel or hospitality environments is advantageous but not required; a passion for guest services is essential.
