About the Role:
Join Joint & Spine as a Physical Therapist Assistant in Waldwick, NJ, where you will play a vital role in helping patients regain their mobility and improve their quality of life. We are seeking a PTA who thrives in a structured, fast-paced clinical environment and enjoys working as part of an integrated care team. You will work directly under the supervision of a Physical Therapist to deliver hands-on care and guide patients through rehabilitation programs designed to improve mobility, strength, and overall function. This role is ideal for someone who is engaging, dependable, and motivated to grow within a multidisciplinary practice.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver therapeutic exercise programs and functional rehabilitation activities
- Perform manual therapy techniques including soft tissue and mobility work
- Guide patients through structured rehab protocols and care plans
- Monitor patient progress and communicate updates to the supervising Physical Therapist
- Document all treatments accurately and in a timely manner
- Collaborate with chiropractors and medical providers to ensure coordinated care
- Educate patients on home exercises and lifestyle strategies to support recovery
Requirements:
- Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Active PTA license in New Jersey 1+ year of clinical experience preferred (but not required for the right candidate)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- High energy, positive attitude, and strong work ethic
- Ability to follow structured systems and protocols
