Pima Medical Institute is seeking a dynamic, goal-driven Career Services Coordinator to lead our Career Services team at our East Valley campus in Mesa, AZ. Team Leadership & Placement Operations:
Team Supervision: Supervise and mentor East Valley Career Services Advisors to maintain a minimum 70% graduate placement rate across all campus programs.
Performance Management: Conduct staff evaluations, provide ongoing coaching, and assist Advisors with complex externship placements as needed.
Career Development: Facilitate workshops on networking, resume building, interview techniques, and professional etiquette; present resources at student orientations.
Employer Relations & Externship Management:
Partnership Development: Conduct weekly site visits to build, expand, and maintain relationships with healthcare employers, medical centers, and laboratories.
Externship Oversight: Manage externship placements, monitor student compliance and site safety (meeting ABHES/PMI standards), and conduct mid-term evaluations and exit interviews.
Community Engagement: Coordinate Advisory Board meetings, recruit industry members, organize campus job fairs, and host employer appreciation events.
Data Analytics & Compliance:
Reporting & Tracking: Maintain updated employer and externship databases while analyzing placement statistics, labor trends, and progress metrics.
Survey Administration: Compile and analyze Graduate, Employer, and Externship surveys to support accreditation reporting and continuous program improvement.
Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of professional experience in talent recruitment, job placement, marketing, public relations, or higher education instruction.
Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred (an equivalent combination of training, education, and relevant experience will be considered).
Communication: Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Networking Abilities: Proven track record in business development, cold outreach, and corporate relationship management.
Technical Proficiency: Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and database management systems.
Hiring Range: $58,625 to $73,280 per year (Salaried Exempt).
