Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development for infants and toddlers
- Provide attentive infant and toddler care, including feeding, diapering, nap time, and hygiene routines
- Monitor children closely to ensure safety at all times, adhering to strict supervision standards
- Use positive behavior management techniques to encourage good social skills and emotional regulation
- Maintain accurate records of daily activities, developmental milestones, and health updates in compliance with childcare regulations
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians about their child's progress, needs, and any concerns
- Follow all mandated reporting laws to report any signs of neglect or abuse promptly and appropriately
Experience
- Prior classroom experience working with infants and toddlers in a daycare or preschool setting is highly preferred
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Experience with classroom management strategies tailored for young children
- Certification in pediatric first aid and CPR (First Aid) is required; additional training in special education or working with children with disabilities is a plus
- Familiarity with mandated reporting laws and child safety protocols
- Hands-on experience caring for children through nannying or babysitting roles is valuable
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with children, parents, and team members in a nurturing environment
