Key Qualifications:
- Current and active New Jersey Speech-Language Pathologist license required
- Experience working in school-based settings strongly preferred
- Ability to serve a diverse student population, ranging from elementary through high school
- Strong interpersonal skills for collaboration with educators, staff, and families
- Competence in conducting assessments and developing individualized treatment plans
- Strong organizational skills and adaptability to varied educational environments
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess and evaluate students with speech, language, and communication disorders across multiple grade levels
- Develop and implement IEPs in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Provide direct therapy in both individual and group formats, tailoring interventions to each student’s needs
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting strategies as necessary
- Consult regularly with teachers, support staff, and families to promote generalization of skills and support overall student success
- Participate in professional development and relevant school meetings
- Contribute to a positive and inclusive school environment where every student’s voice is valued
