Your New Role:
Bring your strategic leadership, operational expertise, and people-first approach to this General Manager role with a respected construction organization in the Eugene/Springfield area. In this position, you will guide cross-functional teams, support market growth, and serve as a key representative of the company across internal operations, industry events, and community-facing initiatives.
As General Manager, you’ll need to have efficacious communication skills, as you’ll collaborate with upwards of six departments to implement relative strategies in their markets, manage the personnel on a day-to-day basis, and assist HR in recruiting and selecting personnel. You’ll also be tasked with sales and public relations functions, leading and modeling engagement in the company’s marketing initiatives, maintaining active participation in Eugene-area networking and trade groups, demonstrating the ability to push sales and raise brand awareness, and maintaining an active and professional presence on social media by posting content and engaging on industry-related topics.
In this role, you’ll work closely with the HR division by assigning leads to appropriate individuals, coordinating the training of all levels of personnel, and participating in training programs as needed. You’ll also work with the Leadership Team for event planning and budgeting, providing a monthly written report to the team members and representing the company at industry events.
Success in this role requires someone who has extensive experience coordinating and evaluating the work of employees and trade-contractors, and is skilled in interpreting and applying business data, policies, laws, and codes. Here, you’ll also need to conduct periodic personnel evaluations – so those with strong, yet fair, interpersonal skills are highly valued. Additional character traits the hiring team emphasized they are looking for in competitive candidates include people who are hungry, humble, and smart, with a high degree of emotional intelligence.
This is a fully in-office role at our client’s beautiful Eugene/Springfield location. Regular travel between offices and job sites is required, and a reliable form of transportation is required to perform the duties of this position.
