About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Industrial Refrigeration Technician with strong ammonia system expertise to join the service team. This role involves servicing, maintaining, and troubleshooting industrial refrigeration systems with a focus on ammonia-based systems across food and beverage facilities, warehouses, and manufacturing plants.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine and emergency maintenance on industrial refrigeration systems, including compressors, condensers, evaporators, pumps, valves, and piping
- Troubleshoot system performance issues, diagnose faults, and perform corrective repairs
- Conduct inspections and testing in compliance with PSM/RMP regulations and IIAR standards
- Maintain system logs, inspection records, and compliance documentation
- Ensure safety procedures are followed while handling ammonia and other refrigerants
- Assist with system start-ups, upgrades, and retrofits
- Collaborate with team members and clients to ensure timely and effective service delivery
- Provide accurate reporting and documentation through digital service platforms
- Participate in on-call rotation for emergency service coverage
Key Qualifications
- EPA 608 Certification required
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with industrial refrigeration systems
- Amonia Refrigeration experience an advantage
- Strong understanding of PSM (Process Safety Management) and IIAR codes
- Ability to safely operate and maintain high-pressure, low-temperature systems
- Familiarity with screw and reciprocating compressors
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Strong safety awareness and mechanical troubleshooting skills
