Savor the Moment Dessert Bar is seeking a friendly, energetic Dessert Bar Server & Barista to provide exceptional full-service dessert dining and handcrafted coffee experiences for our guests.
Responsibilities
- Welcome guests with a warm, friendly, and professional attitude.
- Provide full-service table service, including greeting guests, taking orders, delivering desserts and beverages, checking on guest satisfaction, and processing payments.
- Create memorable guest experiences by anticipating guests’ needs and providing exceptional hospitality.
- Prepare handcrafted coffee, espresso drinks, specialty beverages, and other menu items according to company standards.
- Plate and serve desserts with attention to presentation and quality.
- Recommend menu items, seasonal specials, and retail products to enhance the guest experience.
- Accurately enter orders and process transactions using our POS system.
- Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and inviting dining room, coffee station, and service areas.
- Complete opening, closing, and side work responsibilities.
- Restock desserts, beverages, supplies, and service stations throughout each shift.
- Work collaboratively with the FOH and BOH teams to ensure timely, efficient service.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and company standards.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Previous serving, restaurant, café, bakery, or hospitality experience preferred; upscale or full-service dining experience is a plus.
- Strong customer service and hospitality skills with the ability to create memorable guest experiences.
- Excellent communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
- Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience taking orders, serving food and beverages, and providing attentive table service.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures.
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling, payment processing, and bill splitting.
- Experience recommending menu items and using upselling techniques to enhance the guest experience and increase sales.
- Comfortable learning or using the Square POS system (experience preferred).
- Must be dependable, punctual, and available to work weekends.
Preferred (Bonus Qualifications):
- Barista or specialty coffee experience, including espresso beverage preparation.
- Hospitality management or shift leadership experience.
- Experience working in a dessert bar, coffee shop, bakery, café, or upscale casual dining environment.
- Passion for creating exceptional guest experiences through hospitality, quality service, and attention to detail.
We are open Tuesday through Sunday.
Typical shifts include:
Opening Shift: 11:00 - 4:30 PM
Closing Shift: 4:20 - 9:30 PM (Tuesday–Thursday
4:20 - 10:30 PM (Friday–Sunday)
Weekend availability is required.
