The Breakfast Attendant is responsible for providing excellent guest service while preparing, maintaining, and replenishing the hotel's breakfast area. This position ensures that guests enjoy a clean, well-stocked, and welcoming dining experience while adhering to food safety and sanitation standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Set up the breakfast area before service begins, including food, beverages, utensils, and dining supplies.
- Prepare and replenish breakfast items according to hotel standards and guest demand.
- Monitor food quality, freshness, and presentation throughout service hours.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the breakfast area, dining room, kitchen, and serving stations.
- Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner and respond promptly to guest requests.
- Clear and sanitize tables, counters, and food service areas.
- Follow all food handling, safety, and sanitation procedures in compliance with local health regulations.
- Monitor inventory levels and notify management of needed supplies and food items.
- Properly store food and supplies after breakfast service.
- Assist with light kitchen duties and other housekeeping tasks as assigned.
- Dispose of trash and recyclables and maintain a clean work environment.
- Work collaboratively with front desk, housekeeping, and management staff to ensure guest satisfaction.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous customer service, food service, or hospitality experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to work early morning shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
Physical Requirements
