Job Overview
We are seeking a dependable, mature individual for a straightforward evening routine to get our dogs settled and bedded down for the night. This is a highly predictable role at a private canine facility. It is an ideal position for a local retiree, hobbyist, or anyone looking for steady, evening hours with supplemental income. There is no retail, no customer interaction, and no workplace drama. You will be working independently to maintain a calm, structured environment for the animals.
Daily Duties
- Evening Let-Outs:Let dogs out into secure areas two times over the course of the evening shift.
- Feeding & Cleanup Take up remaining food bowls, wash them, and ensure fresh water is supplied.
- Sweeping, mopping, dusting, and of course pet waste pick up
- Handle animals gently and confidently, using proper animal restraint techniques when necessary
- Occasional light grooming tasks such as brushing or cleaning to maintain hygiene and comfort
- Maintain detailed records of care routines, and any incidents during the shift
Experience
- Absolute Reliability:** The dogs depend on this schedule; showing up on time is the #1 requirement.
- Calm Demeanor Comfort and confidence handling dogs in a firm, quiet and caring manner.
- Experience in veterinary assisting or as a veterinary technician is a strong plus
- Background in pet grooming, pet sitting, or kennel work demonstrates valuable animal care skills
- Attention to Detail -Ability to strictly follow a basic security and lock-up checklist before leaving the property.
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including heavy lifting of animals or supplies when needed (40-50lbs). Reliable transportation a must. Training provided, but some basic knowledge preferred.
Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
