Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and dependable HVAC Service Technician with 5+ years of hands-on experience in residential and light commercial HVAC systems. The ideal candidate is an expert troubleshooter, communicates clearly with customers, and takes pride in delivering quality service and repairs. This is a key role in our company with opportunities for advancement, training, and leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems
- Perform routine maintenance and seasonal tune-ups for residential and commercial clients
- Provide detailed service reports, estimates, and recommendations to customers
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, safety protocols, and local codes
- Calibrate and replace thermostats, motors, controls, compressors, and related components
- Maintain a clean and organized company vehicle with proper inventory
- Communicate professionally with dispatch, office staff, and customers
- Occasionally assist with system installations or provide on-site training for junior techs
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of professional HVAC service experience
- EPA 608 Certification (Type II or Universal required)
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration systems
- Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Ability to use mobile apps or tablets for invoicing and reporting
- High level of customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Willingness to participate in on-call rotation and overtime when necessary
Preferred Qualifications:
- NATE Certification or equivalent trade certifications preferred but not required
- Experience with ductless systems, smart thermostats, and zone systems
- Familiarity with HVAC software or dispatch platforms
Work Environment:
- Field-based with travel to client sites daily
- Exposure to varying weather conditions and confined spaces
- Will require lifting up to 75 lbs, climbing ladders, and working in attics/crawl spaces
