HIGH DESERT DELIVERY, INC. (independent contractor for FedEx Ground, Inc.) is now hiring full-time delivery drivers for the Bend/Redmond areas. Drivers will dispatch out of the Bend, Oregon FedEx terminal. Full time shifts available within a six-day operation schedule (Mon-Sat). Must have Commercial Driving Experience. Overtime available. We are seeking motivated, self-starting professionals, who work well independently in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.

Requirements
- At least 21 years of age with a valid driver's license (CDL not required)
- One year verifiable professional driving experience within the last three years (or five years experience within the last 10 years)
- Clean driving record - no accidents or major violations within the last three years
- Ability to pass a DOT physical exam, drug screen (including Marijuana), and criminal background check
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds, and maneuver oversized packages up to 150 pounds with use of a hand truck
- Ability to safely drive and work outside in all weather conditions
- Own and operate a smart phone, and be able to learn job-applicable technology and applications
Compensation
- $25.00 / hour starting pay, paid training provided (Negotiable DOE)
- Discretionary bonuses for outstanding performance
- Overtime available (1.5x) after 40 hours (full time), Direct-to-overtime pay after five days (full time)

General duties
- Conduct pre/post vehicle inspections daily
- Examine and organize daily load prior to departure (vehicles are pre-loaded by Package Handlers)
- Pickup and deliver to business and residential customers within the prescribed time windows
- Learn the route(s) and customer needs serviced by High Desert Delivery, and abide by FedEx Ground customer service protocol
- Handle and maneuver packages without damage, and without injury to oneself or others
- Operate vehicles and equipment safely, securely, and competently
