The Automotive Sales Consultant is responsible for assisting customer in the process of purchasing a vehicle. This role involves understanding customer needs, offering suitable vehicle options, and guiding them through the sales process from start to finish. The ideal candidate will have exceptional communication skills, a passion for vehicles, and a proven ability to achieve sales targets. The Automotive Sales Consultant will also be expected to maintain a high level of product knowledge, provide excellent customer service, and foster long-term relationships with customer to drive repeat business.
Responsibilities of an Automotive Sales Consultant include, but are not limited to the following duties:
- Greet customers and understand their vehicle needs and preferences;
- Conduct test drives;
- Demonstrate vehicle features;
- Present vehicles that meet the customer’s needs and budget;
- Negotiate and finalize vehicle sales;
- Follow up with customers, after purchase, to ensure satisfaction;
- Stay up to date with products and industry trends;
- Collaborate with General Manger to achieve monthly sales goals;
- Inform customers of the sales process, options, and what to expect;
- Assist customers with inquiries and provide detailed information about our products;
- Establish and maintain a meaningful and positive working relationship with customers;
- Attend industry promotional events to establish and build relationships, preferred;
- Complete annual compliance training;
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Valid Driver's license in good standing is required;
- Previous Auto Sales preferred;
- Regular and consistent attendance and timeliness is essential;
- In-person work is essential;
- Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills;
- Ability to read, write, and interpret documents;
- Exceptional communication skills to interact with customers;
- Professional attitude and appearance;
- Multitasking and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks;
- Ability to hear and communicate effectively;
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently with minimal supervision.

Physical Demands: Occasional periods of sitting at a desk; Prolonged periods of standing and walking; Frequent use of hands for typing, writing, and handling office equipment; Must have the ability to read, write, and interpret documents; Must be able to hear and communicate effectively with visitors and employees.
Work Environment: Exposure to hot and cold temperatures. The job operates in a professional office environment. Standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines will be used.
