Seeking a reliable and self-motivated Part-Time Cook to join our great team. This is a steady position in a low-volume kitchen - ideal for someone looking for consistent hours in a more relaxed, members-only environment.
Reliability is essential. The right candidate takes pride in being dependable and keeping the galley clean and running smoothly for members and guests.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook food to order, based on slips printed from bar
- Complete prep work during each shift to support the next cook and the bartender’s All-Hours Menu - available whenever the galley is closed
- Keep the galley clean, organized, and well-stocked throughout the shift
- Clean and put away all cookware and utensils before leaving
- Track food waste and record it in the waste log
- Note when taking the last of any item and communicate restock needs
- Stock paper goods, dry goods, and food items as needed
- Leave the kitchen ready for the next cook or shift
- Can gain additional hours by supporting other functions of the club such as inventory, receiving, and room setup.
Available Schedule:
- Thursday & Saturday evenings
- Sunday afternoons
- Other shifts are offered occasionally based on club events and time off requests.
Requirements:
- Previous kitchen or short-order cooking experience required
- ServSafe certification preferred
- Strong reliability and communication - must be consistent and punctual
- Ability to work independently in a simple commercial kitchen
- Commitment to cleanliness, food safety, and teamwork

Founded over 150 years ago, the Quincy Yacht Club is a friendly, members only community in Hough's Neck. The kitchen supports members and function hall events in a casual setting where quality and consistency matter more than volume.
