Responsibilities
- Assist the head coach in planning and conducting soccer practices, training sessions, and competitions.
- Support the development of individual player skills and team dynamics through effective coaching techniques.
- Help organize and supervise team activities, including games, tournaments, and team meetings.
- Monitor and evaluate athlete performance, providing constructive feedback to enhance their skills and teamwork.
- Foster a positive and motivating environment that encourages sportsmanship, teamwork, and personal growth.
- Communicate effectively with players, parents, and school administration regarding team policies, schedules, and expectations.
- Assist in the recruitment of new players and promote the soccer program within the school and community.
- Ensure the safety of all participants by adhering to established safety protocols and guidelines.
- Attend coaching clinics and workshops to stay updated on the latest coaching strategies and techniques.
Requirements
- Previous coaching experience, preferably in soccer, at the high school or youth level.
- Strong knowledge of soccer rules, strategies, and training methodologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with student-athletes and their families.
- Ability to work collaboratively with the head coach and other coaching staff.
- Commitment to the academic and athletic development of student-athletes.
- Availability to work evenings and weekends during the soccer season.
