BCNS is seeking an enthusiastic and collaborative Extended Day Teacher to join our afternoon teaching team beginning in September 2026.
Our Extended Day program provides children with meaningful opportunities to extend their learning through play, exploration, creative expression, and social connection. Working alongside a team of experienced educators, the Extended Day Teacher will help create a warm, engaging, and responsive environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and joyful learning.
Position Details
- September 2026 – June 2027 (10-month school year, with the possibility of a two-week summer program)
- Monday–Friday afternoon schedule
- Approximately 10–15 hours per week
- Compensation commensurate with experience
Qualifications
- Massachusetts EEC Teacher Certification (required)
- Experience working with preschool-aged children
- Familiarity with or interest in the Reggio Emilia approach
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- A reflective, flexible, and child-centered teaching style
